About Us

We're Clay and Nicole Merryman, we live here on the farm. We opened our doors in January 2021. We're a new business but we're not new in the equine industry!

• Clay has worked in the equine industry for over 30 years and been a professional farrier for over 20 years. He grew up in Maryland working on Thoroughbred farms. Then came to Ky to go-to The Kentucky Horse shoeing school.  He specializes in a variety of breeds, but his main customer base is Saddlebreds. He has numerous customers all over Kentucky and Indiana. The boarders here on the farm will get great care from him!
• Nicole has worked in the equine industry for over 20 years. She grew up in Lexington, Ky working on Thoroughbred farms and working the thoroughbred horse sales. She's been taking lessons and riding horses since she was 5. Her career took her to numerous farms over the years that involved tasks such as; a vet tech, foaling mares, stallion collection, doctoring/caring for lay-up horses, a groom in a Saddlebred training barn, breaking horses, teaching lessons, etc. Nicole is also a CNA with a background for caring for the elderly. She believes that the elderly whether human or equine deserve respect in their later years and top quality care.

We also have 5 of our own horses here on the farm. Three of them are gaited trail horses, 1 is a very unique miniature horse and 1 Saddlebred broodmare.

Our diversified equine backgrounds give us the opportunity to maximize the quality of the horse care we offer here on the farm!
